We are very excited to present the finalists for the DAU 2024 Awards, a recognition for those who make the world of board games a more creative, exciting, and fun place! Each year, we celebrate the ingenuity, art, and passion that fill this sector, and this year we\u2019re introducing a new category to reward the content creators who work hard to bring the magic of gaming to everyone! \ud83c\udfb2\u2728<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are the categories and the finalists vying for the award this year:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udf1f <strong>A Life Dedicated to Gaming:<\/strong> The recognition of a career that has left a mark in the world of games. A prize for those who have made gaming not only a passion but a way of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83e\udde9 <strong>Best Author:<\/strong> The minds behind our favorite games! Here we find the creators who have come up with the most clever and memorable gaming experiences.<br>The finalists are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Johan Benvenuto, for <em>Harmonies<\/em> (Libellud)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Isra C. and Shei S, for <em>The White Castle<\/em> (Devir)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jonathan Fryxelius, for <em>Kingdom Legacy: Feudal Kingdom<\/em> (Maldito Games)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udf31 <strong>Best New Author:<\/strong> For those authors who are new to this world and already making waves! A recognition for the new talents coming in strong with fresh ideas.<br>The finalists are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gabriel Buend\u00eda, for <em>Hawaiki<\/em> (MAGICBOX GAMES)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>H\u00e9ctor Carri\u00f3n, for <em>Future Inc<\/em> (DMZ Games)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connie Vongelmann, for <em>Wyrmspan<\/em> (Maldito Games)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udfa8 <strong>Best Artist:<\/strong> Games are also a feast for the eyes! This category rewards the artists who bring every game to life with unique illustrations and designs.<br>The finalists are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Joan Guardiet, for <em>The White Castle<\/em> (Devir)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jorge Tabanera, for <em>Barrio<\/em> (Cacahuete Games)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edu Valls, for <em>Troles y Princesas<\/em> (Maldito Games)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udce2 <strong>New! Award for Outreach:<\/strong> A category we\u2019re launching this year to recognize those who share the love for board games, whether through videos, reviews, social media, or any other medium that helps grow this amazing community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Who will take home the award? We\u2019ll find out at the DAU Barcelona awards ceremony! It will take place on Friday, November 15th, at 7pm, at SAT! Sant Andreu Teatre.
